AJet Signs Long-Term Lease Agreement with DAE for 10 Boeing 737 MAX 8 Aircraft

AJet, the low-cost brand of Turkish Airlines, has signed a long-term lease agreement with Dubai-based lessor Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) for 10 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft as part of its fleet expansion plan. In its announcement on December 3, 2025, DAE stated that the aircraft will be delivered to AJet between 2026 and 2027.

AJet launched operations in 2024 following the transformation of the AnadoluJet brand and previously announced its goal to expand its fleet to 200 aircraft within the next 10 years.

In July 2025, AJet also signed a lease agreement with SMBC Aviation Capital for five Airbus A320neo jets. Additionally, an existing agreement with CDB Aviation, a subsidiary of China Development Bank Leasing, covers a total of 12 Boeing 737-8 aircraft, six of which are already operating in AJet’s fleet.

In a statement, DAE CEO Firoz Tarapore said, “We are pleased that AJet has chosen us to support its growing fleet requirements. Türkiye is a rapidly expanding market. According to the Ministry of Transport, flight movements increased by 5.7% in the first half of 2025. We thank Turkish Airlines and AJet for their confidence in us, and we wish them success with the new aircraft.”
